The Line Up
Disciple • Project 86 • Manafest • The Altar Billies • David Upton • Phil Sanchez • The Anthem Worship Band
To know the story of Disciple, you have to place yourself in Kevin Young’s shoes. Like Kevin, Disciple’s singer and bandleader, let’s say you’ve recorded ten albums, played thousands of shows worldwide, headlined tours since the late 90’s, and opened multiple times for the biggest artists in Christian music. You’ve sold hundreds of thousands of records and you’ve got fourteen #1 singles. Add to that the fact that you are done with your most recent recording contract and your band needs a lineup change. You’ve been on the road for twenty years, and you’ve seen more hotel rooms than a Gideon Bible. Most people would probably say, hey, I’ve done a lot and maybe it’s time to walk away. Most people are not Kevin Young.
“Disciple started when I was 16,” says Young, “so I’m somewhere between old and young. I know Disciple’s been around for a long time, and sometimes, when I wake up, I can feel every mile, but I can’t wait to see what’s ahead. It honestly doesn’t FEEL like it’s been as long as it has, and in a lot of ways I feel like we’re just getting started. The process, where I’ve been and the new stuff we’re doing right now as a band - it’s a gift. We chose to be who we are AND embrace the new.”

“True peace comes from Jesus and from being content with what you have right now. I’m a big believer in setting goals and striving for bigger things but you’ve got to enjoy—and be present in—the moment you’re in now.”—Manafest
In a world where conformity is king and sticking with the status quo is often a well-honed survival instinct, four-time Dove Award nominee Manafest has always found contentment in doing his own thing. And refusing to be anyone but himself has clearly served him—and his artistry well. Even on the heels of his wildly popular, bestselling album Fighter, Manafest (real name: Chris Greenwood) refused to settle into a familiar, if-it-ain’t-broke-don’t-fix-it mentality when making the follow-up, The Moment. If anything, the Canadian born and California-based artist and author was even more compelled to dig deeper both lyrically and creatively.

As the third release on the band's Team Black Recordings label, Knives to the Future will also be distributed by New Day/Selecto Hits and will once again be available in stores nationwide.
After a highly successful Indiegogo campaign where fan support nearly doubled their goal, P86 has been busy in the studio preparing their 12-track full length and have recorded 4 additional acoustic songs. When asked about the latest installment from P86, lead singer Andrew Schwab commented, "This record is a continuation thematically of where we left off with Wait for the Siren. It tells the story of a soldier post-battle who has forgotten where he came from or who he is. The album is about a search for truth and destiny through rediscovering secrets hidden in your past. Sonically it is heavy, deeply emotional, desperate, and very personal. I'm very proud of what has been accomplished both with the fans and the music in this recent chapter." On top of a busy fall touring schedule the guys will also be filming a music video and Andrew Schwab is set to release a new companion workbook for "The Tin Soldiers" along with a 3-song digital single of his new electronic project, London Six Echo.

THE ALTAR BILLIES
The Altar Billies are a trio from Orange County, California fronted by guitarist/vocalist Michael W Stand. Rounding out the group are Johnny X on upright and Chuck Cummings on Drums. The Altar Billies cover many classic hits, as well as newly penned originals and have been together for about 6 years. They are one of several groups that are taking a "liking" to a new and rapidly growing alt country/rockabilly/psychobilly trend (“Punktry” as they like to call it). It's something very new and progressive, yet also a familiar sound that’s been around for quite sometime now.
The group performs all over Southern California for a wide variety of audiences both young and old. Altar Billies have played at such venues as the Orange County Fair, Orange Street Fair, Silverado Canyon Concert Series as well as clubs in the OC area including The Coach House and The Observatory. They have even earned a regular spot at the infamous Strubrik’s Steakhouse in downtown Fullerton. Altar Billies have opened for both Lee Rocker of the Stray Cats and for local OC icon “swingman” Big Sandy.

My name is Phil Sanchez and I am so blessed to have you visit this site and check out the music and other fun stuff we have for you. My heartfelt prayer is that you would be encouraged and blessed by this site and that it would be used as a resource for your personal spiritual growth or help with growing your worship team. I am a worship leader from Orange County, California who at a young age had a heart and desire to worship the Creator of the world. I am passionate about worshiping God, loving my amazing wife Connie, writing songs, and leading people to know the promise of His love for them. I believe anyone with a willing heart can begin to receive from God the promise of His love.
First off, I did grow up in a Christian home but I wasn’t perfect! My mom was in the church choir and said I began singing and drumming in the womb. If you could believe that. It was amazing to watch both my parents walk by faith and really live out their relationship with Jesus Christ.

I think it is safe to say that God "invaded my heart" a little over 2 years ago and gave me a dream to write new songs with a different angle than before. My dream was to write and record a "Soundtrack for Recovery". And then get out there and give it away to everyone that we could possibly find that needed it.
I hadn't been able to find much music out there that was created with recovery folks in mind, and felt a strong urge to take on the challenge myself. Well God definitely honored this dream and the effort to bring it to reality! After many prayers and lots of soul searching, I started writing… with no idea of how it would turn out.
The first song I wrote set the tone for the whole project and then it felt like God really leaned in with me and started confirming this dream when a handful of unbelievably talented and great people started showing up to help me with writing, recording, instrumentation, artwork, photography, video work, etc... in short, people that I would have never imagined working with were compelled to help!!
In my discussions with them all, it became evident that they wanted to help because they could all relate to the goals of this project and they felt like there was a calling for them to be part of this vision. I learned, through this journey, that EVERYONE is in recovery from some sort of hurt, habit or hang-up… so I guess this record is more like a soundtrack for the human journey!!
I pray that, through this project, I will have the ability to relate to people in a new way... meeting them right where they are in their journey. I believe that this project will provide a new way to encourage people and point them at Jesus… because He is the only one that can truly help us all recover!
